Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Dear Bernice and family members: Very coincidentally, Ruth came across this announcement a few minutes ago and in addition to our sorrow at this news, notice of his passing also brought back fond memories of Martin. He served as parish treasurer at Gloria Dei Church during my ministry there and I got to know him quite well. Ruth and I extend our heartfelt condolences to you Bernice and the entire family. "In my Father's house are many mansions . . . . " and by the grace of God Martin is in that blessed company of the communion of saints in heaven as we confess in the Creed each and every week ! "The Lord be with you" in all ways and always, Rev. James and Ruth Buenting Kelowna, British Columbia - Posted by: Rev. James Buenting (Martin's pastor at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church,Winnipeg) on: Jul 24, 2015

  • Martin was the Treasurer for our Congregation in Red Lake for many years. We would like to take this opportunity to express our Heartfelt Sympathies to the Family on the loss of their Husband, Father, and Grandfather, but you can be Thankful for the Life your loved one lived as he knew that even in death, he has the assurance of Eternal Live with His Lord and Savior. Just as Jesus told the thief on the Cross, "Today, you will be with ME in Paradise." So, Even in death we can "Rejoice" knowing your loved one is in the arms of His Lord and Savior, and will have no more pain or suffering. Praise God from Whom All Blessing Flow. God be with you and comfort your hearts. In His Love and Service, Even in Retirement. - Posted by: The Rev. Alvin and Jean Borchardt (Former Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Red Lake, Ontario, Martin's Pastor.1973-1984) on: Jun 21, 2015

  • Our condolences to both of you and the family on the passing of your brother, Martin. I am sure that he will be missed, being the only male sibbling in the family. We are sorry to hear that he had cancer. You will be in our prayers. Take care, Audrey and George - Posted by: Audrey (Wipper) Halowaty (Friend of Marion and Bernard ) on: Jun 20, 2015
