Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAX WILLI MOSER (OPA) July 20, 1928 June 16, 2015 It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Max Moser. Max was born in Altstatten Switzerland in 1928 to Jakob and Frida and grew up alongside five brothers and two sisters in a happy and loving environment. When he was old enough, Max served his mandatory time with the Swiss army and then immigrated to Canada in 1956. In search of a better life, Max found Berta in Winnipeg. She was the love of his life and they married in May of 1960. They lived on Lismore Ave in Winnipeg until 1972 and then moved into a house in Narol, just outside of Lockport. Through hard work, they turned the house into a home and transformed their yard into a garden paradise. Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and people were welcomed with open arms and a loving touch. Max worked for Quality Bedding and then joined EH Price in 1969 where he enjoyed a 20 year career before retiring in 1990. He took great pride in his work and it was rewarded with a retirement party and an invitation to visit the company office any time he felt like dropping in. Max and Berta enjoyed camping, swimming, family gatherings and two trips to Mexico where even parasailing wasn't out of the question for Max. The stories they shared with us will never be forgotten. Max was predeceased by Berta in 2008 and wrote a love poem for her every year on the anniversary of her passing. Along with his remaining siblings in Switzerland, Max will be missed by all who knew him including Ed Kraus (Pat), grandchildren - Rick Kraus (Pam), Karen McDonald (Dennis), Michele Loschiavo (Al), great-grandchildren Tamara Brown (Mike), Cassandra Schultz (Phil), Emma Kraus, Alex Kraus, Madison McDonald, Kaylee McDonald and his great-great-grandchild Olivia Brown. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to www.klassenfuneralhome.com.
