JOHN CLIFFORD POTT (known as CLIFFORD JOHN POTT) August 7, 1930 - June 17, 2015 Suddenly on June 17, 2015 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB we lost our beloved, caring husband and loving, helpful Dad. There will be a hole in our hearts forever! Cliff, as he was known by many, left behind his loving wife Sandra; son Farrell (his friend Hilda); brother Albert residing in the Eriksdale Personal Care Home and his aunt Mary Pott of Vita, MB. Early schooling was done in Woodmore, MB, Transcona and Lundar. The family moved to Lundar on March 20, 1946 and started a mixed farming operation. Cliff was a hard worker. With his brother Bill, the farm increased in size. In 1981, Cliff married Sandra. In December 1995 Sandra and Cliff started to spend their winters in McAllen, Texas and continued to do so until March 2014. They had met many wonderful people from all over the USA and Canada who became good friends. Cliff was on a tractor doing field work on May 12 and 13, then suddenly May 16 he was in a wheelchair. It was then that he said "I guess I am finished after 69 years of farming". Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Lundar Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Viewing to be held one hour prior to the service in the Hall. Interment to be held in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery with a lunch to be held in the Hall following the service. Special thanks to the nursing staff on E5 at the St. Boniface Hospital for their concerns and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cliff's memory to the Coldwell Lundar Community Foundation Inc., PO Box 154, Lundar, MB, R0C 1Y0. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Lundar Community Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating.
