Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELDENE VERNICE PIRIE (RAMAGE) Eldene Pirie passed away peacefully on June 24, 2015. One of five children, Eldene was born on March 5, 1918 in Wawota, Saskatchewan. Through determination and strength of will, she reached the age of 97, surviving the passing of her first husband, Mark Meyers (Second World War), her siblings Steve Ramage, Lillian Gerts, Beatrice Morrow and Angus Ramage, and her husband of 41 years, William Pirie, who predeceased her on August 23, 1993. Eldene will be forever remembered by her children Brian Pirie and Vernice Shust (Ryan), grandchildren Trista Donald (Craig) and Trevor Shust (Ainsley), great-grandson Owen Shust, nephew Donald Gerts (Rose), and numerous other nephews and nieces. She will be sadly missed. A dedicated homemaker, Eldene enjoyed baking, sewing and doing needlework for her family. She took delight participating in her five-pin bowling league at Polo Park Lanes until the age of 92. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff on the fifth floor at Poseidon Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care. A private service for family and friends will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
