Rose Mcmahon, what can one say about Rose. Stubborn, quick wit, say what you think and mean it, don't sugar coat things. But most of all gentle, caring, humorous, and kind hearted. She was a delight and a joy to get to know over the years and know what made her "tick".you could always have fun with her and she always found the humor in what we thought was funny when no one else did. Curling was her passion, not the women, the men. She couldn't stand all the yelling the women did,saw no need for it.She loved a good bag of plain chips, not just any bag of plain chips, they had to be "lays".She also enjoyed a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning or she could be cranky the rest of the day.We all got to know and love Rose, not just myself but everyone that cared for her.It was an honour and a pleasure to finally really take care of her after her health declined so suddenly. No one wanted her to leave us so soon but that was not our choice we have to live with it and know that she is in a better place. She did not want to remain in this world being a burden on anyone that was not her way.To Vicki,my thoughts are with you at this time and hope that you made more memories with your mom seeing her more often and making her day light up when you walked in the room. She loved you deeply like a mother should. To Ellis, remember her smile and her cheeky attitude that can never be forgotten. She was a beautiful women and you were lucky to have her all of these years. To the rest of the family cherish her memories and always remember her as the life of the party! Rest in peace my friend we miss you and Goodwin lodge will never be the same without you!! - Posted by: michelle hazelton (friend first, care giver) on: Jun 28, 2015
