Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Grandma, we miss you. I always spending time with you playing cards and dice, making delicious meals, and watching you make your fabulous cheesecakes and pork buttons. I thank you so much for all the talks we had and spending time together. Grandma I am getting married next year and I wish you were here still to be there. You are truly missed everyday. I know on my wedding day you will be watching over me in heaven. I miss coming over to visit and our sleepovers. We will be together one day but just know that I am doing great. Cody, Chelsey, and I miss you so much. We love you granny. R.i.p. xoxo - Posted by: Kristy Meger (Granddaughter ) on: May 14, 2019

  • RIP dear sweet Lady, you made a lonely young girl more confident with your kind nature, your Avon make-up and your friendship. I remember babysitting the children and you and Romeo coming next door to my Aunt and Uncles for cards and visits. You were at my wedding shower and my wedding. I'm sorry distance kept us from seeing each other through the years. However, I always thought of you fondly. - Posted by: Patricia (Friend and neighbour ) on: Dec 15, 2016

  • Oh my heavens, Anne is gone.....what a marvellous lady she was. Anne and Romeo were our neighbors for years. Anne was such an outgoing person with the most engaging laugh ever. She was a great friend, one who would actually listen to what was being said. Anne was very generous, I remember she loaned me some of her Book of the Month Club books when I could not afford to buy my own. She cared for my baby son for almost 2 weeks while I and my family attended a funeral in Vancouver for the tragic death of my young cousin. Romeo, we share your pain, Denise, Brenda and Richard and your partners, and children and grandchildren, please know that all of my family, Tom, Connie, Ron and Randy and me will never forget your mother for her wonderful big heart, her infectious laugh, her generosity and her kindness. May she Rest In Peace. Lorraine Balaz Neal - Posted by: Lorraine Balaz Neal (friend and neighbor) on: Jul 03, 2015

  • She was so feisty and lovable. I remember her working at IGA in Windsor Park. Always so sweet; my Dad absolutely adored her. Those delicious cheesecakes at Christmas. My Aunty Anne was always the tops in my heart. She was a beautiful person and truly kind. Love Marc - Posted by: Marc Marleau (Nephew) on: Jul 02, 2015

  • To my lovely, beautiful, caring grandmother. I love you. I will always remember our fun in the casino winning the big bucks. I still owe you your lucky loonie. I'll hold onto it till I see you again. You always loved me wholeheartedly and I am grateful for this. For those who don't know me I love my tattoos and have many of them. Both my grandparents told me that I would be in big trouble if I ever got tattoos. Well I did anyway and was very worried to show up at grandma and grandpa's with them as I didn't want to be in trouble. I remember grandma saying "Well they are beautiful tattoos, just don't get more" till the next one. She accepted me for the person that I am with no judgement and she taught me to do the same with others. We had many many giggles together. I am so proud to have my daughter carry her name forward. Grandma Nixon, Daniel and I love you and will see you again one day. - Posted by: Danielle Wesche (Granddaughter ) on: Jul 02, 2015

  • I got to know Anne when I moved to the city for my first job. I lived with my sister who lived across the street from Anne and Romeo. What a fun lady she was. She always seemed to be laughing and an infectious laugh it was! She was such a friendly person always taking time to strike up a conversation with you whenever you met her. I know she will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family. - Posted by: Marion Marko (Friend) on: Jul 02, 2015
