GRACE HILGER Passed away on April 22, 2015 at Country Meadows Personal Care Home Neepawa, MB, with her daughters by her side. She was 88 years old. Grace was born in Carmen, MB, and was the eldest of three daughters born to Harold and Ina. She grew up in Winnipeg and spent most of her life there. After high school, she enjoyed a brief career at the TD and CIBC banks. She met and married Edgar in 1945. Grace and Ed bought an acreage south of St. Norbert and set up a small mixed farm. They spent their entire married life on Red River Drive. Grace and Ed had three children: Carolynn, Janice and Gordon. Grace took pride in her yard and raspberry field. She was a talented seamstress, crocheter, stained glass artist and baker. She enjoyed playing bridge, card and dice games, camping and travelling to the South Pacific, Europe, Mexico and numerous destinations in the U.S. Grace was predeceased by her husband, parents and sister. She is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, youngest sister and many nieces and nephews. Grace was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. We will always cherish the many memories we shared together. A private family service has taken place at Chapel Lawn, Winnipeg.
