WALTER KRYSCHUK 1923 - 2015 With family by his side, Dad passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the age of 91. Dad is survived by his wife of 71 years, Angele, son Ronald (Diane), daughters Nancy Vokey, Carolyn DeCoster (RJ), Audrey Kryschuk, granddaughters Karen (Stuart) Swanson, Lori (Michael) Cadrin, and great-grandchildren Griffin and Kynan Swanson, Anna-Belle, Larissa and Jayce Cadrin. Dad was born in Narol, MB on September 13, 1923, and grew up on the farm. After a stint in the Air Force, he owned and operated his own business, The Art Mending Co., for many years. Dad closed out his working career at Merchants Consolidated. Dad and Mom loved their house on Lyndale Drive, Norwood, and lived there for over 59 years. One of Dad's great joys was his gardening, most especially his tomato plants, which we all heard about every year. Dad was also very interested in the weather and faithfully recorded it in his diary for many, many years. The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at Poseidon Care Centre who treated Dad with respect and dignity. Cremation has already taken place, and a private interment service will be held at a later date. Donations in Dad's memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice. In charge of arrangements is Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery.
