ERIC MICHAEL AUGUSTINE It is with profound sadness, after a courageous battle with lung disease (IPF) awaiting a lung transplant, Eric passed away July 3, 2015 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, with family by his side. Eric will be deeply missed by his wife Gail; his stepchildren, Lisa (Chad), Mark (Cathy) and Derek (Lendre). Grandchildren: Emma, Noah, Kaylee and Katrina. Sister Catherine (Don). Nephews: Mikel (Ashley), Mark, Stephen and Colby. Two special aunts, Anne and Shirley, also numerous cousins and extended family. Eric was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Anne and sister Monica. Eric was born in Winnipeg on January 3, 1954. He was raised on the family farm in the Dufresne area, where he still resided today and continued to farm. His career started with working on the Dew Line for one year and then 33 years with MTS as a Communications Cabling Consultant and a 15 year member of Bicsi (Building Industry Consulting Service International). Eric was a hard worker who enjoyed life with many hobbies including gardening, raising chickens and making wine with his saskatoons. He did everything to the best of his ability. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, his family and his home. He loved to travel with many trips to Puerto Vallarta, an Alaskan cruise and a special trip in 1988 to Czechoslovakia, where he had cousins that he still kept in touch with. He was a loyal friend to many and was always fair minded. Gail and family would like to thank Dr. Ainsley and the team at HSC, the staff at 5E at St. Boniface Hospital and the excellent care at the U. of AB. Hospital in Edmonton. The funeral service will be held on July 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider signing a donor card. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
