SELMA PLETZ (nee GITZEL) We announce the passing of Selma Pletz on July 7, 2015, at the age of 87, at Winnipeg, Manitoba. Selma will be sadly missed by her sister Hedwig Scham, brother Art Gitzel and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Emil Pletz, parents Johann and Eise Gitzel (nee Priece), sister Lucy Plonke and brothers-in-law Otto Plonke and Oskar Scham. Selma married her husband in 1958 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and remained a member there until her passing. She lived for her family, cooking, working, and caring for her home. Selma loved to garden and sit by the shores of Red Rock Lake with her two sisters, she loved everyone and everyone loved her in return. She never had an unkind word to say to anyone. Selma retired in 1984 after 30 years of service at Grace Hospital. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 13, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of West Park Manor for the loving compassionate and professional care over all those years.
