Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY ANN MADSEN (nee LAUK) June 19, 1936 - July 4, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister, on July 4, 2015. Emily was 79 years old when she passed. In 1956, she met Ted Madsen, married, settled down and raised two sons, Ronald and Kenny. She leaves to mourn, her son Kenny (Tanja), granddaughter Brandy, a sister Adeline, along with many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Tony and Julius; sisters, Victoria and Caroline; son Ronald; and husband Ted. Emily and Ted started a business in 1966, known as Ted's Welding and is still well established to this day. Mom was a very hard worker. She worked for many years at "Little Esso" and also Ridgeway Lunch until her retirement in 1999. Emily enjoyed fiddle music, especially the music from Ted's band called Southern Comfort. They loved going to many different events to dance the night away. Mom loved curling, baseball, bingo and volunteering many hours at various events. She will surely be missed by family and friends. Emily has chosen to be cremated and a private family service will be held in the St. Martin Cemetery.
