KATHY MARIE WELLS-FISHER Following a tough battle with cancer, Kathy Marie Wells-Fisher passed away at her home in Winnipeg on July 11, 2015 at the age of 46 years. Kathy was born in Hamiota, MB, and grew up in Brandon, MB with her parents Barbara and Arvid Wells, and sisters Karen (Tim, AJ, Makeena), Cheryl (Jamie, Mike), and Lorraine (Richard, Jeff). She later moved to Winnipeg to pursue her career. Once established, she reunited with her old boyfriend, Gordon Fisher and they were married, having two daughters, Sheena (now 18) and Chelsea, (now 16). She opened a daycare out of her home so she could stay at home and take care of the kids. The daycare remained open for 15 years until Kathy was diagnosed with cancer. Kathy will be dearly missed by many. Her charm, wit and outgoing personality will never be forgotten. She leaves behind her friends, family and adored pets. Greeting her in heaven are her mom and dad (Barbara and Arvid), Tigger and close friend, Harley. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
We met Kathy after we first moved in next door to them in 1995. the Fishers were a very nice family, I remember at the time I was working at Unicity Walmart and her girls and her would come in and I would give the girls happy face stickers the girls use to call me the happy face sticker lady. I also remember coming home and being greeted by all the little ones that she took care of. They use to run up to the fence when I would come home and all of them would say hi. after we heard that Kathy and Gord were splitting up we were very sad. cause at that time the girls were very young and we knew that it could be a very hard situation. Kathy told me that she was thinking of planning going back to school to take a course and try and get a better job w much more pay. I am not sure if she was able to. Then she moved but still wanted to stay in the area. I sure miss our talks over the fence sometimes I felt like the female version of Wilson on the show home improvement. She did see me at work once and we got to talk a bit that's when I found out from her that she was terminally ill. I told her that I would try and visit her but I would call to make sure she was up to company, but I feel so bad that I didn't you see my heart was in the right place but I went through taking care of my dad and saw him die and I wasn't sure if I could emotionally go through that again. I will miss Kathy's humor, talks, and miss seeing both her beautiful daughters R.I.P Kathy We miss you a lot. Terry and Mike Seccombe - Posted by: Terry and Mike Seccombe (friends) on: Jan 02, 2016
