Dave was born on July 2, 1957 in Formby, Lancaster, UK to Joan and Charles Blayden. Dave had a great love for life and experiencing new things. He loved to spend time with his family, from boating to the simple things in life, especially when he beat his daughter at chess. He loved the outdoors, building things, and was a handyman, working on these projects with his wife and daughter. He loved working and running his business Kildonan Auto and Truck Parts. Dave was also known as a prankster with a good sense of humour. He also loved his dogs. He was predeceased by his father Charles and brother-in-law Jake. He is survived by his wife Deborah, daughter Nicole, mother Joan, siblings Karen (Ed), Chris (Ilene) and Debbie. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and family members in England. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour. Dave and I became pen pals late last spring when he responded to an ad I was running... he was looking for a toy hauler trailer... he wanted one much for the same reason that I bought mine in the first place... to help with the quality of my life... We ended up writing back and forth to each other almost every day since then... I would tell him things about my health and he would do the same... and we discussed all sorts of other things... everything from the legal wording on documents to the projects we both had going... and always lots of questions to answer... Dave loved to learn... We stayed in touch all winter when my wife and I were in Florida for the first time... it was our first year as snowbirds and we lived in our 38 foot motor home for almost 6 months... probably where he got the idea to buy one for Deb and himself... He will be sorely missed by me... I think about him every day... he loved to see the work I was doing to our motor home... I would send him pictures showing how my various projects were coming along... My condolences to the rest of Dave's family and friends... at least I know he is no longer in pain... he had a rough time of it at the end... take care old friend... later...
