WAYNE MARSHALL GIBSON February 8, 1943 - July 14, 2015 Suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, Wayne passed away with his wife by his side at the age of 72 years. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda, mother, Rebecca, beloved children, Ron (Lorrie), Tracey (Rob), Shannon (Steve), grandchildren, Amanda (Dale), Kellen, and Jackson, brother, David (Sheena), brothers-in-law, Grant (Carol) Foster and Glen (Halina) Foster as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Wayne was predeceased by his father, David Gibson, and in-laws, Cecil and Evelyn Foster. Wayne had a love of cars and had been a member of the Guardian Car Club as a young man. He was a handyman, fixing cars, building decks and helping others with projects. He was always involved with his children and their friends. Wayne loved sports, and snowmobiling especially baseball with his kids. Wayne was always active in his community, completing two terms as President of Bronx Park Community Centre. He enjoyed playing Old Timers Hockey, coaching hockey, baseball, and ringette where he made many lasting friendships with the parents and kids of the club. Wayne enjoyed a long career in the poultry industry, retiring seven years ago from Granny's Poultry. During his career, he fostered and maintained many lasting friendships. In his retirement, Wayne enjoyed golfing, and was an active member of the Good Neighbors Seniors Centre. His favourite times were spent with his family, and friends; and he cherished time with his grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. We ask all of Wayne's friends to consider themselves as Honorary Pallbearers. The family thanks Dr. Kress and the Emergency Dept. of Concordia Hospital as well as the valiant effort and support by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic team. Dad loved his family and his friends. He was an honourable man and will be sadly missed and always remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Heart Failure Clinic, MS Society of MB, or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
