My condolences to the Thiessen/Whalen families, my thoughts are with you. I have known Val for many years & I have been to many parties at Val & Rick's place, every one was great! Sometimes it was just Val & I having a party all by ourselves! For the last few years, our parties have been on the phone... I learned one thing very quickly about Val, NEVER MESS WITH HER FAMILY!! As they say, they broke the mold when they made Val & I will miss her an awful lot. Until we meet again Val, Rest Easy My Friend. - Posted by: Mary-Ann Campbell (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2015

we are saddened by vals passing at one time we were so close just like family spending a lot of time together. val always was there for me and my children. she looked after mj and scott when they were young and I was working giving me peace knowing they were in the best hands next to mine. she was the best friend anyone could wish for she would give you literally the shirt off her back. val was a loving and caring soul. she liked the finer things in life and always shared her fortunes with everyone she loved. she was a animal lover as she loved her peppy and now we know she is with him and at peace. I am now regretting we lost touch in the past years as life changes and other things get in the way. I will never forget her and even though we didn't see each other I thought of her often. I know shes in heaven and we will meet again until then rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: mickey AND KAREN PORAYKO (FRIENDS) on: Jul 18, 2015
