Condolences & Memories (33 entries)

  • John, it is 2023. Lots has happened since you left us so suddenly & tragically. I miss you more than I can say; I love you. I know you loved and cared about my family and me. You were always there for me! I talk to you often, and miss the advise and the humour you would offer. Unusual that our place in the pecking order of the seven of us, we somehow were always there for each other. I feel proud and honoured that as younger sister, I could be there in the rough and the happy times. Today was a big day for me ( I know that you were there with me) which prompts this search and these words. I love you dearly and I pray that wherever you are, you are with those who have gone before (God's great garden); and I am certain that you are still offering advise that the breeze or rain drops whisper in my ears. Your love lives on in my thoughts almost every day: I cry because I miss you but I know for certain that you are where you have found rest. You were so much to so many; you gave so much to so many. You did so much for me! Know that what you were, and what you did, lives on in me (and I'm certain) in the many lives your love & concern affected and uplifted. My kids love you. My husband loves you. I love you. Thank you for rescuing me! Thank you for being a truly "big brother". You are always with me, with love, Audrey - Posted by: Audrey Podolsky Mireault (sister) on: May 11, 2023

  • John was a wonderful boss. I worked for John and Sylvia on two occasions. When I left the first time it was to pursue other life interests. When John and Sylvia hired me the second time it was like coming back to family...so comforting and supportive. I truly appreciated the opportunity given to me and the loyalty was given and received. John was the most kind-hearted employer I have ever met. He always made room to forge good-working relationships with his employees and business associates. I will always remember John's sense of humor and happy laugh. God bless you John. - Posted by: Cheryl (Former Office Assistant) () on: Jul 25, 2015

  • John will truly be missed around the shop, everytime I would run into him there he always had a smile on his face and grease on his hands. He would ask me everytime how my dad is doing and would go on about the things they used to do together when they were younger. And I always enjoyed the stories he and my grandpa would tell me about them trucking together back in the day.
