ELDA FRANKOW Peacefully, my dearly loved Mother passed away on July 12, 2015 at the age of 93. Predeceased by my father, Marian Frankow in 1990, also by her parents and all of her siblings. Elda was born in Hwang Ho Kow, China and returned with her family at an early age to live in Italy until she immigrated to Canada in 1949, settling in Winnipeg. Survived by her only daughter, Catherine; niece, AngelaMaria Silvestrin of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and other nieces in Italy. Mother worked in the garment industry for many years. She had a great love of animals. She was slight of stature, but not in spirit. Her deep faith sustained her throughout life. Her love and wise counsel will always be cherished. Deepest gratitude and appreciation to the team of nurses, health care workers and staff on the third floor at Oakview Place Personal Care Home for the compassionate and excellent care given to my mother. Special thanks to AngelaMaria and kind neighbours for their generous support. A private graveside service and interment will be held at Assumption Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
