EUGENE SHYMKIW After a brief illness, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, Eugene passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Eugene is survived by his wife Sally; children, Angela, Eugene, Tonya, James, Parry and their spouses, also his treasured grandchildren and one great-grandson. Eugene loved his winter vacations to Hawaii and his trips to Iowa. He loved reading and gardening. The family thank the doctors and nurses at the Selkirk and St. Boniface Hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. As per Eugene's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Eugene was a good uncle. Many childhood memories flashback like when he would take me for walks on Boyd Ave to Chopps corner store for a treat. He always kept in touch to see how my family was doing.
