Auntie Ernestine was a loving person who would do anything for her family. She brought me to Winnipeg in the summer of 1976 and gave me a place to stay until I found an apartment. She always was there for me making sure I was ok and included me in family dinners, outing to visit family and friends. I told her besides missing my family back home I missed the mountains and the ocean. She said look at the big fluffy clouds and pretend they are the mountains and I'll take you to Winnipeg beach cuz that lake is as big as an ocean. We talked on the phone every few days just like at home talking to my Mom as she new I was home sick. She made a baby shower for me when I was expecting my son Kelly. I could go on because I have so many memories, but in closing when I decided to move back home to B.C, as usual there were no goodbyes, only so long until I see you next time. So Auntie Ernestine it's not goodbye, it's good night and I'll see you in the morning... Love always and forever, Barb - Posted by: Barbara Lynn Edwards (Neice) on: Jul 28, 2015
