LORRAINE CROUDEN Peacefully, on July 21, 2015, our aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt Lorraine Florence Theresa Crouden passed away at the age of 87, at St. Joseph's Personal Care Home. Lorraine will be lovingly missed by her nephews and nieces Bob and Stuart Vernon, Lorraine Devost, Matthew McCaffrey, Anne-Marie Couperwhite and Mark McCaffrey; and numerous grand and great-grand nephews and nieces. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Yvonne Crouden; sisters, Harriet Vernon and Marie McCaffrey; and nephews, Mike and Dennis McCaffrey. Lorraine was born on April 6, 1928. She lived at St. Joseph's for 54 years, where the staff and her fellow residents were her second family. When the length of her residency reached 50 years, the staff at St. Joseph's and her family held a celebration to mark the milestone. Her faith was very important to her and she attended mass and said the rosary daily. Throughout the years, she participated in many of the activities offered at the home. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass, with Father Sean Cahill presiding, will be held in the chapel at St. Joseph's Personal Care Home at 1149 Leila Ave. at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Interment will take place on Thursday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's for their years of care and friendship.
