  • Only had the privilege of knowing Kristjan just a little bit. He used to come out and play hockey with us once and awhile. I'll alway remember every time I would get close to the net for a deke he would dive out at me with a sliding poke check. A trick I'm pretty sure Ron Glaves taught him. He was always a quiet polite kid with a ton of potential. A life losted way too soon. My condolence to Lee, Patti and the rest of his family and friends. Sending my thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Dave Smith () on: Jul 30, 2015

  • Becoming best friends with Kristjan's sister Hanna meant being around him a lot through the years. Hanna and I would always bug him or be extremely loud and annoying but he'd always put up with our craziness. From putting up funny posters in his room to driving around town tracking him through his phone. I'm glad I got the privilege to know him and have these hilarious memories to remember him by. Rest easy. - Posted by: Anna Zegnal () on: Jul 30, 2015

  • I remember Kristjan when he was a little guy. We went to school together from when I was grade 1 to 6 in St. Eustache. Our paths crossed again just last year via social media, and alas our friendship continued. He was always there to lend a helping hand.. heck my car broke down at 4am and guess who was the first to answer my call for help? Kristjan.. my heart goes out to his family and his girl Karlie♡ I'm here when you need me. - Posted by: Jess Grant (Friend) on: Jul 29, 2015

  • I have amazing memories of him that I will cherish. He was a good friend. Always looked out for me and made me laugh. We always competing with each other about who will win the Stanley Cup. I loved shooting pucks at him. I'm thankful for his parents to make sure I was at hockey and helping me to learn the skills. Always going to be in our hearts in a special way. Rest in peace, see you in heaven. - Posted by: Jordan Newsome (Friend) on: Jul 29, 2015

  • Kristjan and I graduated together last year in 2014. Although our friendship did not last very long I remember one story in specific where he saved my butt in math class when we were in grade 11. I've always been a weak student in math and Kristjan knew that, so he'd help me whenever he could because he didn't want to see me fail nor would I want to see him fail either. We'd help each other out but I was falling behind fast with missing assignments. Kristjan took note of that and told me that I could borrow some of his assignments and hand them in before the final mark deadline. Another student in class saw that he gave me his assignments and went straight to our math teacher and told them what was happening. My math teacher confronted me in front of the entire class and Kristjan quickly denied the entire thing and convinced our teacher that no assignments were being borrowed. The consequences would have been that I would have received zeroes in all my missing assignments instead of being able to hand them in which would have dropped my final grade significantly had Kristjan not defend me. Thank you Kristjan for always helping those around you. We didn't know each other for long but you still made an impact on my life even though you probably didn't remember this at all, it's a story about high school I remember telling people a lot. My deepest condolences to the Trenter family, and Karlie Parker whom I've had the privilege of knowing since the age of 5. Kristjan will be remembered in a positive light in my life and I thank everyone who contributed to the man he was becoming, but also the bits and pieces of the man he had already become. - Posted by: Jennifer K (High School Friend) on: Jul 29, 2015

  • Regrettably we only began to really know the Trenters in the last year of their residency in Fort Nelson, BC. We knew them to be a loving, strong and wonderful family. We are saddened deeply by this tremendous loss this family is enduring. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of them at this time. You are held I our hearts and thoughts.... - Posted by: Jean (Craig) on: Jul 29, 2015

  • I am honored to have known you and am extremely saddened by your passing. May you be dancing in the sky, hockey stick in hand. - Posted by: Tammy Frenette () on: Jul 29, 2015

  • Where do I start.. My heart is aching for the Trenter family. What a beautiful young man Kristjan was growing up to be. I didn't know Kristjan as much as I would have liked but I will always remember what a sweet boy he was. His family has become very close to mine over the past few years. He's stayed in our home, travelled over seas with both of our parents and I feel honoured to have the opportunity of knowing Kristjan. We spent some time together working for my mother when Kristjan was about 13 or 14 years old. My memory of him he will always be the quiet, shy, polite young boy with a big contagious (brace filled lol) smile. He lives with us all through the memories we have of him and I hope that he has truly found peace. I want to reach out to Patti, Lee and Hanna to remind them of the huge community of supporters they have. The Glaves family is always here if there is absolutely anything you need. Sending lots of love and thoughts your way. - Posted by: Jasmine Glaves () on: Jul 29, 2015
