MYRTLE AGNES SAUNDERS (nee ANDREWS) Peacefully on July 25, 2015, at her residence Charleswood Care Centre, at the age of 82 years of Winnipeg, MB. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home , 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 19, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Myrtle was born September 14, 1932 in Scotch Bay, MB and was raised in the Clyde Bank area of Eriksdale, MB where she grew up and married her husband Frederick. They moved to P.K. Fur Ranch and raised six children. Myrtle was a hard working, kind, caring woman who always put everyone else first; her first love was the unconditional love she had for her children. Myrtle worked her first job at Pony Coral in Winnipeg and couldn't wait to come home to her children. When she moved to Winnipeg after several years she worked at the Health Sciences Rehab Centre where she retired after 17 years. Myrtle will be sadly missed and always remembered by her son Howard (Sue) of Saskatoon, SK; daughters Sylvia and Linda of Winnipeg, MB; sons Carl (Pepi) of Winnipeg, MB; Herb of Winnipeg, MB; and Don (Heather) of Winnipeg, MB; her grandchildren Nicole (Johnny) and David (Keeley) of Saskatoon, SK; Chiyenne, Stefanie, Jordan, Cyle and Cody of Winnipeg, MB; great-grandchild Jakob of Saskatoon, SK; her sister Connie Andrews of Vernon, BC; and brother Russell of Eriksdale, MB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Frederick, mother Agnes, father Frederick, sisters Freda and Eileen, brothers Albert (Bud) and George, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Many thanks go to the doctors, nurses and health care aides on the 3rd floor of the Grace Hospital as well as the staff and care providers of the Charleswood Care Centre for making our mother's last days with us as comfortable as possible. Mom, Myrtle it is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye. "Thanks for all the treasured memories you have given us you will be in our hearts forever". Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

  • So sad to have you leave us Myrtle but your suffering is over. I sincerely believe you are running around barefoot in that wonderful green grass with all your worries and cares gone. Rest in peace lovely lady for you so deserve it. Till we meet again! Shining Star The angels looked down from heaven one night They searched for miles afar, And deep within the distance They could see a shining star. They knew that very instant That the star was theirs to gain, So they took you up to heaven Forever to remain. Look down on us from heaven Keep us free from hurt and pain, You'll always be within my heart Until we meet again. - Posted by: Dawn Campbell & the late Jack Campbell (Friends) on: Aug 01, 2015
