SUSAN JANZEN (PETERS) 1918 - 2015 Our beloved mom, grandma and great- grandmother was called to her heavenly home on August 2, 2015. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Eva (Abe Hildebrand), Kathy (Henry Neudorf), Henry (Carol), Peter (Jackie), Ed (Laverne), nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn is her brother Nick Peters. She was predeceased by her husband, her two sisters, 10 brothers, one daughter-in-law, one grandson and one great-grandson. Susan was born on October 9, 1918 in Rosenfeld, Manitoba to Henry and Helen Peters, the third child in a family of fourteen. She married George Janzen on January 6, 1939, and they began their life together in Gardenton where they raised five children. In 1957 they moved to Winnipeg where they resided until 1990 when they retired to Carmen, Manitoba. When George's health declined in 2005, they moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to their family. Mom was a faithful, cheerful, hardworking wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Duerksen and the staff of Condordia Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. The funeral service will be held on August 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastview Community Church, 3500 DeVries Ave., East St. Paul, MB. Interment to follow at the Sommerfeld cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Susan to the Union Gospel Mission, 240 Pritchard Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2W 2J1.
