LEE RODRIGUE May 24, 1927 - August 2, 2015 Peacefully on August 2, 2015 at the Vista Park Lodge, Lee Rodrigue passed away. Predeceased by her loving husband Romeo and parents Tina and John Seniuk, she is survived by her brother Steve (Lorna) Seniuk, her daughter Betty (Don) Young, son Barry (Kathy) Rodrigue, and her four grandchildren Sheri Arnott, Daniel (Angela) Arnott, Colin (Andrea) Rodrigue, and Jayme (Matt) Marien. Her five great-grandchildren, Zoƫ, Abby, Jace, Carter, and Callie will miss her greatly. Lee and her parents arrived in Canada from the Ukraine in 1929 and homesteaded in Cowan, MB. In 1941, Lee moved to Winnipeg and met her future husband Romeo at the Crystal Palace Dance Hall in Winnipeg Beach. They raised their family in St. Boniface and moved to Petersfield in 1979, where she enjoyed the view of Netley Creek and getting out and about with the girls'. Lee worked at Warren's Corner in St Boniface for many years and is remembered for her delicious apple pies and her sometimes saucy language. She travelled across Canada and many parts of the US. We'd like say a special thanks to the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their compassionate care of Lee. Services will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. and officiated by Reverend Janet Walker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer's Society Manitoba. Don't worry Baba Lee; we'll take care of cutting the grass. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Barry and family: deepest condolences on the loss of Lee from Debbie, Brenda, David, Lorna and Steve. I am so sorry I was not able to attend the service and of course Mom and Dad can't travel much and Brenda is in Alberta, but David did attend on our behalf. Lee went through so much that no one should have to but she is at peace now and out of pain. She is back with Romeo and they are both watching over all of you, hand in hand and together again. Thank you so much for keeping in touch with Mom and Dad and letting them and us know how things were going. Mom's address book has gone missing so are sending condolences here. Again, our deepest sympathy and thinking of you all. - Posted by: Debbie Seniuk (family) on: Aug 17, 2015
