Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORILDA VANDAL On Sunday, August 2, 2015, our beautiful mother and grand mother, Dorilda Vandal passed away into the loving arms of God. A care giver and mother, first and foremost, Dorilda raised eight children, 19 grand-children, 26 great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren. She was born on April 26, 1919 in St Jean Baptiste MB, and was the last remaining child of Albert Richards and Marie Anne Jobin. She was predeceased by her older siblings, Cecile, James, Pearl, Violet, William and Joseph. Dorilda Rickards a marié Maurice Vandal en 1938, ensemble ils ont élevé huit enfants à Saint-Jean-Baptiste et à Saint-Boniface. Maurice est décédé en 1997 après 59 ans de marriage. She is survived by her children, Gilles, Dolores, Paulette (Henry Kornelsen), Norman (Laurie Sorokowski) and Daniel (Brigitte Léger); her daughters-in-law, Marie Vandal and Jeanette Vandal. Sadly, she is predeceased by not only her husband, but by her sons Maurice, Philippe and Denis; her grandchildren, Perry, Kenny and Gerry; and her daughter-in-law Marge. Family and faith gave purpose to Dorilda. Her children always came first. She lived to show them the love she never felt from her parents. She had a difficult young life and was raised by her Mon Oncle Angus Jobin and Tante Marie Ann in St. Jean Baptiste. Her faith in God kept her strong throughout, especially in the later years. She spoke of the terrible pain of having lived longer than three of her sons and three of her grandchildren. Daily prayer and faith kept her strong through these difficult times and throughout her later years. Funeral service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your charity of choice. On t'aime tellement maman. Tu as toujours été là pour nous et nous t'oublierons jamais. Please rest peacefully maman. You have earned it. Thank you Grandma for all that you've done and thank you for your kind heart, devotion, and for all the happiness and love that you gave to me your whole life through. You will always have a special place in my heart. I'm so honoured to have been a part of your journey through this life and I wanna say that I love you each and everyday. Thank you Grandma for the yesterdays and most of all I wanna say thank you for being my sweet and loving Grandma and creating beautiful memories with me along the way! You have inspired me and always will and I love and admire and truly love you. You Grandma have brought so much joy to this beautiful world, and I will remember you my whole life through. Your truly a phenomenal women and will always shine bright like beautiful stars dancing in the night. I'll always treasure all the beautiful memories my whole life through and I'm so very grateful to you. You will never be forgotten and will live forever in my Heart!
