MACK CAMERON Mack passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on August 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife Jean of 61 years; children Randy (Rita), Steven (Shelley), Sherry Chiswell, and Christopher (Deb); grandchildren Kesh, Jayce, Nikki, Spencer, Kelcie, and Benjamin; brother William Cameron. He was predeceased by parents Gordon Alexander Cameron and Helena "Nell" Cameron (Frost). Mack was born in 1933 in Trois Rivieres, Quebec. His parents moved the family to Cornwall, Ontario early in his life and had to be taken from the Train Station by horse and sleigh to their new home. Mack excelled in school skipping two grades at one point. He graduated Grade 13 from CCVS High School. He met his future wife Jean, and they soon married in 1954, starting their family in Brockville, Ontario. The family moved to Winnipeg in the 1960's where their youngest child was born. Mack spent most of his career in the automotive service industry having introduced the AAMCO franchise to Winnipeg and subsequently selling it to start Lynx Distributors with his business partner Herb Schierle. Mack was renowned for his sense of humour and he will always be remembered for his love of music and poker. Mack was an avid Blue Bombers fan having been a season ticket holder for over 40 years and fortunately the last game he saw was a winning game for them. Mack is dearly missed by his beloved family and he will be forever in their memory. Many thanks to the Palliative Home Care nurses and all the staff at Riverview Palliative Health Care Center. In accordance with his wishes cremation has already taken place. There will be a family service only.
