Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN (LYNN) LENORE SCOTT It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn L. Scott on Thursday, August 6, 2015, peacefully and surrounded by family, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Remaining to forever cherish in Lynn's memory are her son, Cliff (Lesley) of Charleston, South Carolina; daughters, Heather Scott, Janice Briggs (Wayne) and Karen Desrochers (Edouard) all of Winnipeg, Manitoba; grandchildren, Jordan, Chantyl, Selina Desrochers (Everett Richard) and Brittany and Candace Briggs; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Scott of Victoria, British Columbia and Chris Gandy (Doug) of Toronto, Ontario; as well as nieces, Reta Thompson, Sue Adams, Teri Butson and Jenny Trevail. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ken Scott, after 56 years of marriage; her sister, Mona Flinders; brothers-in-law, George Flinders and John Stephenson; and her brother, Gordon Strangways. Lynn loved and cherished her family and grandchildren as well as her dear friends, Jeannette Desrochers and Diane Rheault and her many pets. She also had fun spending time with many other friends and neighbours. Lynn and Ken enjoyed camping in their various house trailers and traveled from coast to coast as well as to many camp sites in the Whiteshell and to Camp Lilac. They also enjoyed trips to the Caribbean and enjoyed the hospitality, music and the lovely scenery of the islands. Lynn had many talents such as writing poetry, playing bridge and knitting sweaters and doll clothes. We miss you dearly, but you will remain forever in our hearts. Lynn's Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB, with Pastor Leon Fontaine, presider. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. My Condolences to the Scott family on the loss of a wonderful and kind person, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend Lynn. I will always remember those Easter and Thanksgiving dinner she would invite me too (and the Lemon Merangie Pies she always had on hand).
