BETTY SECCOMBE (nee MATHEWS) After a lengthy illness Betty passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Geoffrey and her sisters Edna, Edie and Shirley. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Cathy (Ralph); daughter Sharon; son Michael (Terry) and her many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Betty enjoyed a long and happy life married to her husband Geoffrey, several years of which were spent stationed in Europe with the Armed Forces. She lived in Aylmer Ontario, Rivers Manitoba, Comox BC, Summerside PEI, before finally settling in Winnipeg, where she lived the remainder of her years. She loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. At Betty's request cremation has taken place and an interment ceremony will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Immediate family, friends and well-wishers are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre GA3 Step down Unit for their care and consideration in making Betty's final days as comfortable as possible.
