Date of Passing: Aug 08, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR WILLIAM (BILL) MORIN 1927 - 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Morin on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years, Ruth, in 2012. He leaves to mourn his passing: sister Yvonne Smith, sisters-in-law Joyce Morin, Betty Morin, Dorothy Hunt and Georgia Lemoine; Ruth's daughters Pat (Walter Shier), Randy (Larry Adams), his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Victoria Morin, his brothers, Alex Morin (Hilda), Alan Morin, Albert Morin, sisters Mary (Earl Boyd), Clara (Roger Vanatreeve), Rose (Donald Fraser) and Betty (Carl Lundgren), brother-in-law Fred Smith. Bill and Ruthie resided in Inwood, MB for most of their life until their recent move to Teulon Manor. They were active in their community and Bill was always ready to lend a helping hand to his friends/family and neighbours. He loved to farm and loved his sports, especially "horseshoes", for which he was well known throughout the Province. A notable accomplishment was his receiving the CTV Sportsman Award which was prominently displayed along with his many other trophies in their kitchen for all to see. That same kitchen was "Home" to many laughs, great stories and good times. It will be sorely missed by those who came to visit with them. Our family would like to thank the staff and Home Care workers at Gateway Manor in Teulon, for their care and attention the past few years. And a special thanks to Dr. Loudon and the staff at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their care. Prayers will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, Tuesday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m., and Funeral services to be held in the Inwood Memorial Hall on Wednesday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity of one's choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon 204-467-2525 mackhome@mts.net

Even though I haven't seen Bill for some time, I knew he was a good man and a loving husband to my aunt Ruth. He was a hard-working man who was sabotaged by West Nile seven years ago. He will be missed by many people. My mother, Dorothy Hunt also sends her condolences. She appreciates how happy he made her sister. - Posted by: Rita Damoiseaux (Niece) on: Aug 11, 2015

I will always remember all of the laughter whenever the Morin's and Bruce's got together. It would fill the houses and was always such a great reunion. Sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral, but my condolences are with the family. - Posted by: Larry Bruce (Cousin ( Harold Bruce's son)) on: Aug 11, 2015
