WILLIE ZIENKIEWICZ November 2, 1957 - August 6, 2015 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Willie at the age of 57 on August 6, 2015 at the St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by the love of his family at his side. Willie is survived by his loving wife Debbie; daughter Shannon and son Ian (Emily); brothers and sisters, Tony (Anna), Richard, Christine (Tom), George, Anita and brother-in-law Bob; sister-in-laws Wendy (Rene) and Suzy, and brother-in-law, Terry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Willie is predeceased by his Oma and Opa, parents Eva and Henry Zienkiewicz and sister, Ursula. Willie was born in Winnipeg, November 2, 1957 and married Debbie August 10, 1985. At a young age, Willie played every sport that he could get his hands on. He shared his passion for the outdoors with his children; taking them on many fishing, camping and hunting trips. As a family, they enjoyed many concerts of all kinds together, his favorite being Neil Young. Willie had a heart of gold that shined through his long career as a health care aide. He lived his life putting others before himself especially his kids, Shannon and Ian, who were his pride and joy over the years. He started his career at the Misercordia Hospital, which led him to home care. He devoted himself to his clients and loved every minute of it. Willie loved his numerous dogs and cats, as if they were his children. He was the rock in the family who always kept a strong positive attitude throughout all of challenges that he had faced over the past few years. We are devastated and we will miss his smile, laugh and his cheeky jokes. Thank you to everyone at the St. Boniface Hospital dialysis; staff and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Pozeg and Dr. Sathianathan. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Norbert Arts Centre, 100 Ruines Du Monaster, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Willies' name to the Kidney Foundation, or to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Healthy Heart Fund.
