GEORGE WILLIAM VANDENBOGERD November 3rd, 1922 August 12th, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George William Vandenbogerd, peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. George was predeceased by his loving wife, Nell; his parents Arie & Jenny; and his brother Willem. He is survived by sons Harry (Kathy) and Nick (Kathy); sisters Co, Riet, and Mary; and his brother Harry, as well as extended family in Canada and the Netherlands. Special thanks to Kelly Cook for his friendship, and also to the staff at Tudor House for all their care and compassion in his final years. George and Nell immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands. They operated a market garden in Winnipeg for many years, and then moved to Brandon where they started a bedding plant business that flourished under their expertise. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
