Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • So sorry to hear about John's passing. Last time we talked to him (about a year ago) he told us about many of his travels and was still planning more. Too suddenly things change. He was a very pleasant man and highly respected. He will be missed. Thinking of you as you grieve the loss of your Dad. - Posted by: Ken and LillyAnne Giesbrecht (Friend and neighbour to John, Esther, Tammy, and Michelle) on: Aug 21, 2015

  • Lord God please accept the soul and spirt of John Lowen into thy heavenly kingdom. He was a true statesman, gentleman and real tiller of the soil on earth. A person whose charity and kindness knew no bounds and will attune well with your beloved souls. We that were fortunate to have crossed his path will sorely miss him but never forget him. Our loss, however, will be your gain. Amen. - Posted by: Edward & Barbara Paine (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2015

  • We have been so blessed to have known John and become one of his many friends. We enjoyed all our times with him whether iT was golfing, partying, or just sitting around and hearing many of his wonderful stories. We first met John when we had our motorhome across from his in Viewpoint. We will truly miss him. • I have known John and Esther since the late 70's as customers then personal friends for the last 20 years golfing at Niakwa Golf & Country Club. Jeannine with Esther with the Alloy's and I with John, Bob and Bill. We then joined John and Carrall in Mesa for the last 6 years. On May 2nd John and Carrall came for a short visit and we both had a Glenmorangie Scotch. He had told me I know I should not have it but I can't pass up a good Scotch. John was a great person to be with. He was a straight shooter no bull. We will both miss him dearly in Winnipeg and Mesa. Our deepest condolences to Carrall, Tamera, Michelle and families. - Posted by: Gil and Jeannine Robert (Good Friends with John, Esther and Carrall.) on: Aug 17, 2015

  • We are friends of John and Esther and later Carral from Mesa,Arizona. We began our winter visits on 1998 so we have been friends for 17 years as well. We had the best times together and enjoyed many golf games and a lot of laughs. Our biggest regret is that we never got that last golf game in that we always talked about. John will be missed. He had a great sense of humor. Always happy. Please except our condolences on the loss of a dear friend. - Posted by: Richard & Valerie Lorenzo (Friends from Mesa, Arizona) on: Aug 16, 2015

  • Lynda and I have had the good fortune to have spent 17 years in Mesa Arizona. John, Esther and Carrall as well as their families were part of our extended family in Mesa for all those years. John's sense of humour and wisdom will be missed by all his friends in Arizona as well as in Canada. Over the last 17 years we spent many fun times golfing, socializing and supporting each other. We frequently teased John when we were together socially asking if Glen (scotch) could come out to play. - Posted by: Jack and Lynda Hawthorne (Good Friends with John, Esther and Carrall and families) on: Aug 15, 2015
