Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I have posted some photos about Jim Walker and his Isaac Brock Hockey team here: https://isaacbrockhockeyclub.blogspot.ca/2017/06/coaches-jim-walker-and-tom-paterson.html Hope you enjoy them! As a youngster, I would sit with my Dad and Jim at the Airport Sals and Jim would tell us all the latest news about the Chicago Blackhawks, the NHL and exciting hockey prospects to keep an eye on. I would have a chocolate donut and milk and listen in rapt attention to everything 'Unkle Jim' had to say. He would always bring copies of The Hockey News for me, my brother and Dad to read. - Posted by: Jim Paterson (friend) on: Jun 26, 2017

  • I met Jimmy as a young boy watching his and Tom Paterson's Isaac Brock hockey teams win multiple consecutive city championships. He and Tom were among my first hockey idols, and I consider myself fortunate to have played for him with two junior teams. Jimmy taught us superior hockey skills and sportsmanship - he became a role model for me in the way I coached my own kids sports teams. Sincere condolences to the Walker family and Jimmy's friends. - Posted by: Dave McConachy (Friend) on: Aug 22, 2015
