HENRY OCZERKLEWICZ Sadly, on the night of August 22, 2015, Henry passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 71. Henry was born in Stade, Germany on October 15, 1943. He immigrated to Canada and was raised in the West End of Winnipeg. He was an appliance technician and worked for Westinghouse, Superior Appliance and retired with City Wide Appliance in 2011. Henry took great pride in his lawn, spending many hours puttering outside. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking many roads trips with good friends Dee and Fred. He cherished spending time with his grandson Kaden, eating popcorn, watching documentaries and the deep conversations that ensued. You could always find him with sports on the TV and sweets on the table. He was a modest man, enjoyed the simple things in life and was always there should you need a hand. Henry leaves to mourn his wife of 41 years Bev; children Leah, Cory and Kara (Dave); grandson Kaden; brothers Richard, Ed (Joanne) and Joe; sisters Betty and Cecilia (Rob); brothers-in-law Glen, Ken (Cheryl); sister-in-law Sharon (John) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Grzegorz and Maria, his sisters-in-law Heather and Carol and brother-in-law Donnie. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Saint John XXIII Church, 3390 Portage Avenue with Fr. Robert Polz officiating. A private family interment to follow.
