I went to hairdressing school with Angie over 25 years ago. I recently learned of her passing while waiting with my daughter in urgent care. First, my heart goes out to all of Angie's loved ones. I hope my story gives some comfort. While waiting in urgent care I noticed a female security guard who had blonde curly hair. She made me think of Angie with her wildly curly locks. Surprisingly I instantly remembered Angie's maiden name so naturally I googled her. I was shocked and saddened by what I read. As I continued to read the article and obituary my heart stopped. The tragic accident occurred on my birthday and we were waiting in urgent care at the Victoria hospital. I have no doubt in my mind she was there with us last night. She befriended me, made me laugh, made my everyday brighter. Angie's spirit lives on and is continuing to brighten people's days.❤ - Posted by: Cathy (Friend) on: Feb 23, 2020

I worked with Angie at VGH on 5South as a grad nurse and later after I graduated. (She was a float nurse at the time) She was such a wonderful nurse to work with, always smiling and happy. My heart broke when I heard the news. My deepest condolences to her family and especially her three young children. She definitely left a lasting impression on me and I'm sure everyone she met! - Posted by: Alexis Maskiew (Nurse at VGH 2008-2010) on: Sep 02, 2015

As a fellow nurse who worked with Angela, I saw a strong, passionate, energetic, and caring woman. I am angered and sad that a careless accident caused so much suffering and pain to beautiful Angie and family, and that Jon, the kids, and extended family will continue to suffer the loss of her presence. I am thankful that I had the chance to befriend Angie as she has left a lasting impression on me. She has showed me how to treat fellow workers and patients with respect and dignity and how to look for the positive in people and difficult situations. She could always make a bad shift, not seem so bad and it was always a pleasure working with her. My condolences to her family and may the happy memories keep her in the hearts of all who knew her. - Posted by: Merry Didur (friend) on: Sep 01, 2015

The memory that sticks out in my head of Angie is when they came out here when we were little and going to our Great Grandpa's memorial and being silly as we were young and playing on our trampoline. Deepest sympathy to all of the family of Angela. A very tragic horrible accident has taken the life of a young strong woman. Auntie Janice had given me the pleasure of spending time with Ryan, Ashley and Samantha at West Hawk Lake. The strong bond between the family was exuding and what a joyful weekend we had. The children are beautiful children and my heart hurts as they have to deal with the loss of Mommy. Shannon, Lynda, Jon and Auntie Janice as you deal with your pain and loss please accept my deepest sympathy. Angela, rest in peace, you will remain in hearts forever. - Posted by: Sheila Hawkes (Friend of Auntie Janice) on: Aug 29, 2015
