ANNE HALLAREN
Born: Mar 04, 1927
Date of Passing: Aug 28, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE HALLAREN March 4, 1927 - August 28, 2015 Peacefully, with her family surrounding her, Anne passed away in the quiet hours of the early morning. Anne was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba and grew up on the farm in Grandview, where she met and married her true love, Ivan in 1948. They moved to Winnipeg in the early 1950s where they raised their four children. Anne had a passion for flowers and gardening and one of her greatest joys was watching her flowers grow. She always said she felt closer to God when doing so. She loved her church, Prince of Peace and gained a reputation for her volunteer work and her perogy making skills. She was a devoted wife and mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom was known to always open her heart to all who she thought she could help. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband Ivan, son-in-law Ken Harrison, and sister-in-law Eva Hallaren. Left to cherish her memory are her children Lillian Harrison (Brian Sanderson), Bob Hallaren (Alice), Arne Hallaren (Sue), Pat Durnin (Dick), grandchildren Craig Harrison (Susy), Debra Ross (Jim), Lindsay Faithfull, Sean Hallaren, Lyndsay Ducharme, Jordan Ducharme, and great-grandchildren Cody Ross and Emily Ross, Jenny Spalinger and Maurice Spalinger. Anne enjoyed her years at Arms of the Cross and the many friends and acquaintances she made. She took great pride in being able to participate in the planting and maintenance of the flower gardens there. The family would like to express their extra special thank you to the entire staff at the Misericordia Cornish 6 for the overwhelming care, concern and compassion shown Mom during her stay there. We were deeply touched not only for Mom's excellent care in her final days but also for serving the needs of our family at this difficult time. Also we would like to thank Pastor Kolleen for the Spiritual comfort that she provided for our mother and our family. A celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

What a wonderful, gracious and lovely lady! May all the family be comforted in the knowledge that the first to accept God’s decision of death is the one who dies. While we’re mourning at the grave, Ann is marvelling at heaven and praising her God! - Posted by: Donna Johnson (Friend/neighbour ) on: Sep 01, 2015
