MARION LORRAINE CREASER (CHEGUS) (nee WARDLE) Peacefully, Marion Lorraine Creaser, dear wife, mum, nana and great-grandmother, aged 81 years, passed away on August 27, 2015 at the Extendicare Oakview Place. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Chegus and her parents, Howard and Mary Wardle. Marion leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Ken; daughter Rhonda and her husband Clive Hjorleifson; two sons, Bruce Chegus and wife Patricia, Allan Chegus and wife Nancy; five grandchildren Erik, Lisa, Alana, Kelsey and Matthew; great-grandson Luca; her sister Laura Horn; and many nieces and nephews. Through the Creaser family there are numerous step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion was born on July 24, 1934 in Bents, Saskatchewan, raised in Virden, MB, moved to Winnipeg as a young adult and completed one year of RN training. In 1953, she married Paul Chegus and raised a family. She was the caregiver to her own parents in later years. As a talented organist, Marion enjoyed playing at family gatherings and at her church. Following Paul's death in 1991, Marion later married Ken Creaser in 2004. The past several years have been spent in retirement together. They enjoyed travelling, a good game of Cribbage and viewing sports. The family would like to thank the caring 2nd Floor staff at Extendicare Oakview Place. Marion's devotion to her family will be remembered by all who loved her. "We will miss you and cherish the memories" In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Marion's Life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow.
