RUTH MAYO 1927 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Constance Mayo, on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at the age of 87 at the St. Boniface Hospital with her son; daughter-in-law and grandson by her side. Ruth was predeceased by her parents and husband Dave. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, , Earl (Donna), Darrell (Louise); Gary; grandson Ryan. One of her great joys in life was spending as much time as possible out at the family cottage in Canyon Lake, ON, If you were ever looking for Ruth and she wasn't out in the garden, there was a good chance she could be found enjoying a glass of wine and good conversation at the Windsor Park Hotel. She loved to take long walks even in the cold of winter. She always had a kind word for others and was generous to them. The family would like to thank the staff of Beacon Hill Lodge where Ruth lived since December of 2014 and St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support. A come and go celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ruth's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation.
