I worked at the Barker Blvd house for several years and had the pleasure of working with Dennis as one of the support staff from 2001-2010. Dennis had a great sense of humor, I have many fond memories of my time spent there. My condolences to you Bev, your family, and extended family including Dennis' Winnserv room mates who knew him for so much of his life. - Posted by: Deb Huff (former Winnserv staff) on: Sep 09, 2015

Dennis was a close friend of my brother Mike for 38 years. In today's parlance they were BFFs. Mike introduced me to Dennis in 1977 at the Alverstone home. Just a few months ago Dennis, Lil, Mike, I and others shared dinner at a party (Lil's birthday) at Assiniboia Downs. Mike and Dennis had decades of good memories. Mike, in each phone call and visit over the years always had a story about he and Dennis. When Mike visited family in Ontario he always talked about missing Dennis. - Posted by: Richard Driscoll, also scribe for Mike (a friend and a Mikes brother who was Dennis' BFF ) on: Sep 08, 2015

Every time that I saw Dennis, his gigantic smile brightened my day. His enthusiasm for parties reminded me of the importance of celebrating life. It was an honour to work with him, a privilege to smile back at him, and an absolute pleasure to celebrate with him at several parties this past year. I send my condolences to Bev, the rest of the family, and everyone else who was near and dear to Dennis. - Posted by: Barb (Friend and Support Worker) on: Sep 07, 2015

Our thoughts go out to all of Dennis's Family at this sad time.We had the pleasure of seeing Dennis many times at Barker Blvd. He always greeted us with a "huge HUG and a SMILE". He will also be fondly remembered by a longtime housemate at Barker "LIL" (Bunny Adams). She missed him when he moved to Belmont Avenue but she was able to visit him there and had recently seen him in the hospital and was very happy to see him. He was a good friend! - Posted by: Bob and Gail Sangster (Sister and Brother-in-law of Lil (Bunny Adams) a friend and housemate from Barker Boulevard.) on: Sep 05, 2015
