Date of Passing: Sep 06, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE MARIE DENNETT (nee RONDEAU) On September 6, 2015, at 7:55 a.m., at Grace Hospital, Mom walked home with God at her side. Leaving to mourn are her daughter, Cecile; grandson, George and Wannetta; great-grandchildren George, William, Andrew and Hendryk; granddaughter, Lucinda and great-grandchildren, Noah and Justin. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom were the apples of her eye. Tom, who she knew for numerous years was her friend and always stood by her side. She had a zest for life which she loved all her nieces, nephews and their children, on both the Rondeau and Woollard family side, all who knew her loved her positive attitude, giving, caring and coping in life. She was described as "one in a million". Mom started working as a young person for CN as a telegraph bike rider, delivering telegrams in summer and winter. She held other careers throughout the years, with the last one being a Hostess at McDonald's restaurant and loved it. She volunteered at Winnipeg General Hospital as a librarian. She sang her way through the Sweet Adelines, making more friends. She also belonged to the Charleswood Legion. Mom enjoyed putting on Halloween costumes, taking part in Christmas plays and singing. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, cutting hair and gardening. She was born in Fisher Branch and was predeceased by her mother and father; her brothers, Paul, Edward, Alec and Albert; her sisters, Florence, Laura and Emily; her nephew, Ray (Kookie) Moran who always held a special place in her heart; my dad Lloyd and stepdad Ray. Her partners in crime besides her sisters were Aunt Jackie Langevin and Aunt Helen Chisz. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. Special Thank You: - In moving Mom, fixing rails, borrowing equipment, driving me around, picking up Mom's laundry when I was sick. - Visiting her at the hospital; bringing treats which made her happy. - Lynda - for flying in; Mom truly enjoyed the visit - My children George and Cinda - who do not live in Winnipeg but kept in touch just about every day and / or flew in. I know how hard it is, but Grandme loved you every second of their calls or updates. - Noah and Justin - on Friday, went to the Care Centre to visit and help Grandme with her lunch. We went to Grace Hospital later to see Grandme. Grandme enjoyed this visit very much. - Todd and Sean - for always being there - special sons / grandsons. - Dr. D. Dissanayke for all her care. - Bonny and Dr. B. Elbarouni - Victoria General Hospital 3 South - especially Alla, Lorna and staff - Charleswood Care Centre especially nurses Leah, Innes, Lisa and the Aides and staff. - Grace Hospital - Dr Friesen in the emergency ward and Dr. George on 3 South, and nurses involved. Thank you to all for your patience and speedy action taken for my mom's well-being. Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses. "He sets the time for birth and the time for death. He sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy, the time for mourning and the time for dancing." Ecclesiastes 3:1 We do not say "Goodbye" but rather "Love you and see you later". GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

I am so sorry to hear of Cecille's passing. Cecille And my dad (Tom) were companions to each other for almost 30 years and they shared so many wonderful times together. They traveled a few times to Scotland and many other places such as Texas, Florida, Las Vegas, Edmonton, etc. They both loved to dance and spent many weekends dancing the nights away together. Cecille was truly the best thing that ever happened to my dad...and was such a large part of our lives for so long and she will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to all the family. Rest in peace CeCe....xoxo. - Posted by: Donna Strickland (Friend of the family) on: Sep 11, 2015

My Aunt Cecile was loved and respected by many. Her sense of humor always put a smile on your face. Aunty always lived life to the fullest. She always was the first to get up on the dance floor and last to get off. My first memories of her were with my father Kookie, who would always take me her house for a visit. He loved her so much. She was like a mother hen, always nurturing her family, making sure everyone was alright. It is an honour to have gotten to be a part of this special lady's life. You will truly be missed by all. We love you so very much. It's not good bye, its see you later on the other side. - Posted by: Erica (Rica) Chatelain (Great neice) on: Sep 10, 2015

Big CC will always be remembered as energetic and outgoing, and always had a "can do" attitude. She was bold with her words but always kind with her heart, and would help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed but always remembered. Hugs and Prayers to the family. - Posted by: Jerry and Debi (Family) on: Sep 10, 2015
