BERNICE BONI (nee DECOCK) 1930 - 2015 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Boni on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Bernice will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, John (Deborah) Boni, Dianne Cardinal, Walter (Nancy) Boni; six grandchildren, Lora (Kelly) Pickard, Heather (Dan) Jones, Lisa (Ben) Poggemiller, Carrie (Brendin) Berndsen, Allison and Michael Boni; and five great-grandchildren, Kate and Colson Pickard, Owen and Grady Jones and Abigail Poggemiller. Bernice was predeceased by her husband John (2004) and son-in-law Ken Cardinal (1997). Bernice was born in Winnipeg where she resided her entire life. She married her beloved husband John and spent 56 years of happily married life with him raising their three children. Bernice was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very caring and compassionate person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed spending time with her family and we will always cherish her sense of humour. Mom loved to cook and bake and often provided delicious "care" packages for the family. She loved to sew, crochet and craft. Every Christmas the family waited with great anticipation to see what new craft decoration would be on their present. Mom's other passion was listening and dancing to music. She would put everyone to shame on the dance floor. The family would like to thank the staff of the D1 unit of Concordia Place for their compassionate care and support of Bernice. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bernice's name to the Concordia Foundation Inc., 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2K 3S8.
