WES WALKER It is with profound sadness that the family of Wes Walker announces his passing on September 4, 2015 at Carman Memorial Hospital. Wes is lovingly remembered by his children, Dianne (Bill) Julius, Brenda (Randy) Clift, Ken (Tanya)Walker and Brad (Cindy) Walker, eight grandchildren, Kristy, Michele and Alana Julius, Jackie (Craig) Marchylo and Leah Clift, Derek and Kyle Walker, and Carter Walker, and one great-grandson, Connor Marchylo. He also leaves one sister, Marge (Bob) Lees, sisters-in-law Rose Walker, Nedra (Bob) Burnett and Joan Johnston as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Wes was predeceased by his loving wife Jean (1995), brothers Ed (2004), Don (2011) and wife Barb (1998), brother-in-law Jim McIntosh (1981), sister-in-law Irene Burnett (2015) and husband Dick (2008) and sister Gladys (1943). Wes was born February 10, 1934 in R.M of Dufferin and spent his youth on farms in the Graysville and Stephenfield areas. He married Jean McIntosh in 1954 and joined the Air Force the same year, with postings to Montreal, Rivers, MB and Winnipeg. After retirement from the Forces in 1974, he was employed with Agriculture Canada Research from 1974 to 1993. He returned home to Carman in 1996, where he lived until the time of his passing. Sports played a major role in Dad's life, an avid baseball player, curler and golfer. He enjoyed watching all sports. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Morden in 2012. He coached little league baseball for many years and then later attended various venues proudly watching his grandchildren play a variety of sports. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and sat on the executive at the Carman branch. In accordance with Dad's wishes, there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place. A family graveside service will be held in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Graysville, at a later date. Dad, you will be greatly missed. Until we meet again. We greatly appreciate all the help provided to Dad by our supportive family, especially Sherry and Buck, and many friends as well as the excellent staff at Carman Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carman Hospital Auxiliary. Box 610, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0 or the Carman Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 18, Box 98, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0. • our condolences, it was my pleasure to have curled and played ball with Wes. My dad took me to play ball in Rivers when I was 5 and dressed me up in the catchers equipment while Wes and dad played ball. Wes recruited me for Hillary Blues when I was old enough. Lots of fond memories. - Posted by: Mel and Joy Marsh (friends) on: Sep 12, 2015
