ALBERT YULE Albert (Hap) Yule passed away peacefully on September 11, 2015 at the age of 96. He is remembered with love by Hazel, his wife of 68 years, his daughters Margaret Leduchowski and Bev Wire (Mark), his grandchildren Chris Leduchowski (Paula), Cory Leduchowski (Liane), Melanie Wire and Matthew Wire and his five great-grandchildren. Albert was born at Niverville, Manitoba on June 22, 1919 to Alexander and Jane Yule. He was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings: sister Jessie Ann and his brothers, Alexander, Wallace, William, James and Charles. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Wayne Leduchowski. Albert grew up in the Stonewall area and was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1940 to 1945. He served at various bases in Canada and England during the Second World War. His work years were spent in the retail building supply and property administration fields in Ontario, Manitoba and B.C. He was a Certified Property Manager and a property appraiser. He retired in 1979. After his retirement, Albert did volunteer work with the Red Cross, the Christmas Cheer Board and was an activity worker for many years at Seven Oaks General Hospital. He liked a game of golf and curling and spending summers at the family cottage in Sandy Hook. He was always "up" for a project and was very happy with a paintbrush or hammer in hand. He was ready to help anyone who was in need. In his later years, he was an avid reader of mysteries and spy novels. Albert was a kind, unassuming gentleman who enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. In accordance with Albert's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A private internment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined; anyone wishing to honour his memory may make a donation to a charity of their choice. Heartfelt thanks are extended to Albert's home care workers and the wonderful staff at River Ridge Retirement Residence and Kildonan Personal Care Centre for the care and kindness shown to Albert and the family over the past several months.
