ELIZABETH SCOTT (BETTY) 1926 - 2015 It was with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt and friend on September 15th at Oakview Place at the age of 89. Predeceased by her parents George and Clara Scott, brother-in-law Garnet Towle, sister Hazel and brother-in-law Harry Florentine. Betty was born in East Kildonan and lived in Winnipeg all her life. She lived the last 14 years at the Kiwanis Metropolitan Courts where she enjoyed the company of many friends. Betty attended Secretarial School and used her skills in accounting. She was a wiz with numbers and great with people, always a smile for everyone. Left to mourn are her sister Mildred Towle, niece Judy Gorchynski and family in Vancouver, nephew Gary Florentine and family in Victoria, Nephew Neil Florentine in Calgary and her many friends and former co-workers. A very special thank you to Dr. Elin Bergman, caregiver Barbara Stacyszyn, the Homecare Staff at the Kiwanis Metropolitan Courts and Oakview Place for their gentle loving care. Betty loved animals especially her dogs Rusty and Cindy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Humane Society.
