JOSEPH BRANT SYDORKO Joseph passed away peacefully at the Pinawa Hospital, Pinawa, Manitoba in his 93rd year. Joe was born in the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet on April 7, 1923. He was predeceased by his wife Signe, his parents Peter and Angela, brothers Alex and Walter, and sisters Del and Elsie. Joe is survived by his loving children Allan (Irene) and Evelyn (Shane), grandchildren Anita, Colin, Drew and Heather, and his two great-granddaughters. Joe also was loved by his step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild. He will be missed by his surviving brothers Richard (Cathy) and John, sisters Mae and Jean, and nieces and nephews in Manitoba and Ontario. Joe lived the latter part of his life in the town where he was born. Prior to those years he resided in London, Ontario. Joe was a Second World War veteran serving overseas with the Second Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry CFB Shilo. Thank you to Dr. Bruneau and the staff at the Pinawa Hospital for the great care and compassion. A very special thank you to Evelyn Worona for all her kindness shown to our father. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Interment of his ashes will take place in London, Ontario at a later date.
