ARTHUR (ART) BURDEN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Art Burden on September 18, 2015. He passed quietly and peacefully at home, just as he wanted. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alys, the love of his life, son David, daughter Tammy (Doug), son Rodney (Melanie), brothers Bob (Shirley), Don (Gloria), and Peter (Carol), and many nieces and nephews. It gives us all comfort to know that Art is with other friends and loved ones and he can share his many famous stories with a whole new audience. Art was a big personality and a great man who will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held September 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brokenhead Room of the Rec Complex in Beausejour, Manitoba. There will be a service and opportunity for everyone to share memories of Art. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship will be established in Art's name with the Brokenhead River Community Foundation, Box 2225, Beausejour, Manitoba, R0E 0C0.
