DIANE KATHRYN OLIVIER It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Diane Kathryn Olivier. She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Kevin; daughter Kerri-Anne (Trevor) Uruski and her two grandchildren, Katarina and Anton Uruski. Also two sisters, Lorraine Olynyk and Yvonne (Peter) Whitehouse, as well as sister and brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her husband Alf (Alfie) Olivier in 2013 and her parents, Fred and Kathryn Kuxhaus. Diane also had another "sister" and friend of 63 years, Linda Maternick. They met at six years of age and the friendship continued their whole lives. Thank you Linda my best friend. Diane was born and raised in West Kildonan and started working at 17 years of age, met Alf and had a "dreams of" marriage, adding Kevin and Kerri-Anne to this wonderful household. She was so proud of them and their accomplishments in life. Diane was a loving partner, caring mother and a wonderful friend to anyone who was in her life. Alf and Diane had many wonderful and funny moments together and cherished each other. Diane loved being a grandmother (nanny) and taught her grandchildren how to use the phone and do "takeout". Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Diane's life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, # 1 Highway East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favorite charity. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy #1 E at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

Auntie Diane will always be remembered for her great smile and always welcoming way. As kids, we spent countless hours in their company at the family gatherings that she and Uncle Alf hosted so cheerfully and graciously. Their home was always an inviting one and their laughs and joy infectious. This great warmth and joy is now to be carried on by her kids; my dearest cousins. - Posted by: Guy & Margaret Prefontaine (Nephew) on: Sep 26, 2015
