CAROL ANN MURPHY We are saddened to announce the loss of Carol Ann Murphy (nee Dowsett) on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Carol passed away peacefully at her home with her beloved husband, Patrick beside her. Her son, Timothy and daughter Jennifer, shared their mom's final days at home. Carol was surrounded by love for her final journey. Carol also leaves her sister Eva (Bruce), brother Thomas (Eileen) and brother John to mourn the loss of Mouse'. Patrick's many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews brought so many happy times to Carol. She was always excited to go to the socials, weddings and family gatherings of the Murphy family. Carol's time with cancer was not a battle; cancer didn't stand a chance against her spirit. Carol received a certificate of recognition from the Manitoba Cancer Society for raising funds for CancerCare as an individual donor. Her t-shirts were legendary with their message to cancer. Carol was a hard-working woman who was never too tired to laugh or more likely to make you laugh. She was happiest with a fishing rod in the water or roasting wieners over campfire with Patrick beside her. We have lost a cherished wife, a loving mother, a little sister and an exuberant auntie. We have lost our Carol and wish her peace. Carol was predeceased by her infant son Allan Murphy and her parents, Allan and Lucienne Dowsett. Thank you to the Cancer Navigation and Palliative Care teams and to the many friends and well-wishers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Eriksdale Recreation Centre. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOME Ashern - Lundar 1.204.768.2072 1.866.323.3593
