ARTHUR GORDON SPAFFORD Arthur Gordon Spafford passed away at home at the age of 92. He flew Mosquitos in the Second World War and later graduated from Queens University as a civil engineer. He worked in various parts of Canada and also in Nepal and Bangladesh. He was delighted to see that the small hydropower dams he designed in Nepal, in the early 1980s were still successfully working in 2015. Gordon was a creative man with a love for building, music and drawing. He was always ready to assist others who were in need and wholeheartedly supported the efforts of his church, St. George's, to sponsor refugees and to build a well in Uganda. Gordon married Darby Bayly on September 9, 1949. He is also survived by his four children and four grandchildren. The memorial service is at St. George's Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St., Winnipeg on September 28 at 11:00 a.m..
