MARTHA EUGENIA MYDYNSKI March 6, 1938 - July 25, 2015 After a brief illness, with her daughters by her side, Martha passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 25, 2015. Predeceased by parents John and Emily, and siblings Elmer, Gladys, and Loretta. Martha leaves behind her three daughters Darcie (Tony), Jadien (Pat) and Jonna (Robert), her sister Helen Olsen, five grandchildren Ben, Donovan, Austin, Shae-Lyn and Jarett, and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. Born in Arran, Saskatchewan to John and Emily Mydynski, Martha spent her early years there before the family moved to Lynn Lake, Manitoba. While growing up, Martha enjoyed playing softball and curling with her sisters. She worked at the Cook Shack, before spending nearly 20 years at the Leaf Rapids Co-op. After retiring Martha moved to Winnipeg to be with her family. Martha was a quiet, hard working woman who loved her family deeply. Martha was known as an excellent cake baker, great listener and a good cook. She loved bingo and she also loved going to the casino with friends. Gone but not forgotten... We LOVE you Mom / Grandma. Rest in Peace. Thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 6th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital. As per her wishes, a celebration of life service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home at 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
